Good good links #57

Hello and happy 21st of September! An odd way to say hi? I don’t think so. We’re this close to the astronomical start of autumn [or fall if you prefer]. And I somehow happened upon the fact that September 21st, 1799, was when the French Philippe Lebon invented the first gas heater. Very fitting fact with the colder months in mind, don’t you agree? It was also when in 1983 the first mobile phone – weighing a feathery ~ 1.8 lb – made it onto the US market. Okay, I apparently enjoy some random facts … What I also enjoy and came here to share today, though, are great posts. Rambling be gone, reading may start.

Happy Sunday!

Yay! Thank you for linking me on this awesome post! 😀 As for what got me thinking, the Healthy Maven had a post about 5 investments one should make for your blog – wish there was an objective third party that could tell me when it’s time to upgrade; sort of like in computer games where you get levelled up and then can choose from a selection of shiny perks! /dork :p

    • Miss Polkadot says:

Not dorky at all. I linked to Davida’s post in last week’s round-up and agree figuring out the right time isn’t as easy as it might seem. Look at me still not buying a domain though it’s been on my mind for a while.

      • Marfigs says:

I’m glad I’m not alone in being hesitant over these things! Sometimes it seems to make sense and then other days I just think of all the cash I spend on ingredients for blog food and my brain rebels against spending more on branding in these early stages. Oh well!

  2. Amy @ Long Drive Journey says:

Thanks for sharing. It always feels good to know that we’re not alone in what we feel, and I loved your advice about giving yourself a break AND not letting things spiral out of control. We’ll figure it out! Hope this has been a fabulous weekend!

  3. Charlotte says:

Haha i like the way you started this post! i think we should always greet people with “Happy [insert date]!” it just makes every day seem important- which it is 🙂 And lol I love your descriptions for these links!

    • Miss Polkadot says:

We really should. Every day is unique just like every person and we will never be able to turn back time so why not appreciate even the ‘normal’ days more?! (: On that note I hope today – the first day of fall after all – is a good one for you.
